Using the Project Scratchpad

Capture ideas and quickly turn them into actionable work using the project scratchpad's selection menu.

Using the Project Scratchpad

The project scratchpad is a document-style text area where you can capture ideas, notes, and requirements for your project. When you select text, a context menu appears that lets you quickly turn selected content into actionable work.

Accessing the Scratchpad

The scratchpad is available in the project workspace:

  • Navigate to your project
  • Open the Scratchpad tab in the main content area
  • Start typing or pasting content
  • Selection Context Menu

When you select text in the scratchpad, a context menu appears to the left of the textarea. This positioning keeps your selected text visible while showing available actions.

    Menu Behavior

    The selection menu:

    • Automatically adjusts if it would go off-screen
    • Closes after you click any action

    Dark Mode Support

The scratchpad and selection menu fully support dark mode. Colors automatically adjust based on your system or app theme preference.
